When was the last time your doctor thoroughly reviewed the potential side effects of your prescribed medications? You know, those side effects they usually mumble through at lightning speed? Or discussed their plan for helping you safely discontinue the medication if needed in the future? Did anyone bother to mention there's an exit strategy for when you want to break up with your Rx?
Most of us just nod along and grab the prescription, meaning most of us never get the informed consent we are legally and ethically entitled to. Problem? Yeah, I think so.
